Introducing Community Favorites plus Published Images

Posted 8/29/2010

As summer draws to a close a lot is going on at Fotoblur. We moved to our new server this weekend that will help us in our ability to keep up with our increased growth. Thanks to all who followed us on Twitter where we able to keep you informed on our progress during the move. Fotoblur was down for about 16 hours (the most ever!) but we made the transition smoothly with only a few minor glitches. In regards to the move, you may have noticed that you didn't receive your Fotoblur Member report this week. We'll turn this feature back on at the end of this week after we've make a few more minor adjustments.

We've also added a few new features to Fotoblur that we'd like to introduce. The first is a new Community Gallery filter which provides you the ability to view only Fotoblur Magazine published images. Just click on the published filter on the Community Gallery page and you're on your way to seeing all the great images we've had the pleasure of publishing over the past 2 years. The second new feature is called Community Favorites. This was an idea that we've been playing around with for the past week or so and we think the final product is a great extension to the list of Community Favorites you see everyday on Fotoblur's front page. We've added a nice touch called 'Hot Photos' which are photos that are gaining lots of promotions in a short period of time and have moved or are moving to the top of the Community Favorites. We hope these new features add new fun and usability to your overall Fotoblur experience. Let us know what you think.

Last but not least is an update on the progress of Fotoblur Magazine, Issue 7. Issue 7 is nearing completion and it's looking to be the best issue yet. We're looking at our largest publication ever at nearly 90 pages long! We're truly excited to be unvailing Issue 7 in the coming weeks.
