I have this idea that people are shown best when you do not really see them at all. Sometimes it is better to show just a bit, and allow the rest to remain to mystique, for it gives a more accurate description of the difficulty there really is in knowing a person.
This is similar to Aaron Brown's idea of the non-portrait, but just a shade different.
This particular image stems from watching kids play on the beach in Ireland, May 2008.
