I like taking photographs of people, especially when they are unaware of being photographed. I think people are most interesting when they are either doing something physical like running, walking or manual work or arguably even more so when they are engaged in mental activity. One of the most fascinating activities of all, I think, is when people interact with artwork. I love the facial expressions and body stance they adopt as they scrutinize a work of art.

I usually take these these pictures in black and white because colour rarely tells us anything more in these pictures and usually distracts attention.
