Tumular monument for king Pedro I of Portugal. While a prince he fell in love with a Spanish lady from the court of his wife. When is wife died he attempt to marry this lady, Ines. His father, the king, refused for political reasons and ordered the assassination of Ines. After becoming a king, following his father death, Pedro proclamed his defunct lover Ines as his wife and the queen of Portugal. Today both tumular monuments are facing each other in the monastery.
