An Egyptian in Istanbul

The Egyptian Obelisk made around 1490 B.C. by the Pharaoh Tuthmosis; brought to Constantinople in IV century A.C. upon orders of the Roman Emperor. Its placed on a Roman base and together with that base it's 25,6 m high.

It's the oldest monument in Istanbul! (not counting those in Archaeological Museum ;) ).
