Reina Sofia Museum expansion done by Jean Nouvel to house the Picasso exhibit. This is a hallway in the restaurant in the complex, showing Nouvel's signature use of bright colors in dark environments to bring accents to to the edges of his architecture. The blue is a reflection of the sky overhead through a slit in the ceiling, and the red is a reflection of the red walls of the restaurant. The entire complex is a mixture of swirling colors and sensory perceptions.
