Riders on the Storm

The title refers to the story behind this photo: I had known this place since I was a child and decided to explore it photographically as soon as I took up photography. The day the shot was taken me and my partner set off at about 5.30 in the morning and drove ourselves through amazingly hard rain (which was just getting harder mile after mile) and hail, having abandoned our photographic plans miles ago, driving just for the fun of it, not even hoping to SEE the place since we could hardly see a few meters ahead of us in the heavy rain. Miracles DO happen though and as if the password was that “it must be somewhere down there” I dared utter when we reached the place, someone up there suddenly turned the tap off!

Hope you like it.
