This is my first upload to Fotoblur.

When I first started photography over 30 years ago I was passionately shooting Black & White and processing it at home in the bathroom. They were incredibly enjoyable years but almost a distant memory as I look back and see how I have almost exclusively become a "colour" photographer.

Just recently I have started to make a conscious effort to try and see again in Black & White where the scene suits it. I hope to post my best Black & White images on Fotoblur as way of rekindling this almost (for me) lost art form. Of course the Developer Trays are gone but the ability to to isolate, simplify, enhance and highlight remain even if now via a computer and digital file.

This first shot is taken not far from my home and as a colour image was heading for the Recycle Bin! But for some reason I thought about visualising in Black & White and here it is. Now I'm starting wonder how many other images, difficult to make visually interesting in colour but offering great opportunities in Black & White, that I have also hit the delete key on...
