I took this image this past summer but made a fatal flaw when taking it. Unfortunately I left the ISO at 1600 from when I was taking some practice shots and as you can see there is much noise in the image. After finding this out and making the proper adjustment for some reason the rest of my images had some strange glare issue from, I think, light coming into the lens from either my right or left. That caused the images to be less contrasty on one side only (a very strange issue I've seen often when doing long exposures). Well I decided to upload this image anyway...I think it has an eeriness about it that I still like. I returned to the spot that I took one of my best images "Summer Time." I need to get back to regular shooting. I just bought a film camera in the hopes that it would spark my interest to take more photos again but due to the lack of inspiring scenery I feel somewhat uninspired by almost everything I see. My long exposures really ended about a year ago, and with 2 kids, a career, regular training, publishing a magazine and managing Fotoblur I lost touch. Recently my camera broke and it was a real bummer for me...and it made me realize how much I really miss shooting. The biggest issue is that I put myself into a box of only doing long exposures and I think that restriction was like a noose around my neck. When people really enjoy them its hard to do anything else. But its regular day life that I'm caught up with now.
