Marcia Schulman Martin has been a member of Fotoblur since December 18, 2009.
In 2005, on a whim, I submitted some of my older images, taken over 30 years prior, to B&W magazine's first portfolio contest and won a Merit Award. This success prompted me to set a goal of winning a Spotlight the next year. I decided to photograph leaves in water as I was always attracted to it's qualities. In the fall of 2006, I created a portfolio of floating leaves and submitted them. On New Years Day 2007, I was contacted by the editor of B&W who said I had won a Spotlight! My goal had been achieved and it seemed I had found a new career after having one as a Speech and Language Pathologist for many years. Now, photography is the focus of my life. I have been fortunate and humbled that my images have met with such success. In August, my work gained representation by ContemporaryWorks.net
