This piece came from 2 different pathways of experimentation: A frozen black and white film frozen and then scanned; and the digital edition of that scan. The model is my brother Jef, is a personal reflection of male stereotypes in history and how that have influenced us. Is also part of my own divagations in the surreal world, the title is a reflection of that, is chosen by the first impression trying to don't really think about it.

Part of my series around male stereotypes.

I know have color but is mainly black and white, damn I hate categories.

Then I've scanned the film and played with PS layers.

The name came from...don´t know I saw it and think in that name and some Johnny Cash's song.

This rose comes from his garden, he forced his mom to bring it for me to make some photographic exercises. that boy is amazing, my little angel.

Scan of the image (24 hours of exposure using a glossy B&W paper) before fixer, only a bit of extra contrast in photoshop.

I love this image, the veins, the tones. Reminds me, don't ask me why, of the first maps of Mars.
