Andrew Ponomarenko

From my early years in Ukraine (then the USSR), when I started to take my first pictures using my dad's Kiev-4 camera, photography has always been my love. I was fascinated with the magic of light producing images in the dark room, I liked to be out with a camera, composing and envisioning the black and white images on the film. Later on the color films appeared in my life in the form of ORWO slide film, made in East Germany. I used to shoot slides in my trips to Caucasian mountains.
